The Barter

I took one of the loaves out to the folks who do the farming for us. Came back with half a dozen ears of corn, 8 tomatoes, 3 cukes and one large bell pepper. Mom said that loaf was sure worth a lot.


It has been nice cool mornings for which I am very grateful. A harbinger of fall. In Nebraska I do believe fall is my favorite season, in Texas it has to be Spring, I guess because spring comes so quickly after Christmas.

Today is break the bank day as I need to get gas. Hope things are resolved some before it is trip time, but I have my doubts.
