Third Time?

Geez!!! I am flunking Blogging it seems..Third time to try and get something to post.

It is still hot and rain is way overdue..Crops look wilted.

While in Texas I worked on my pastels and after watching a demo, tried my hand at it and surprised myself. I am going to see if I can post it. Wish me luck!

Well, the little picture icon in a tool bar was not there. Must be the Mac I am using.

Rolled into town a little after 1 p.m.

Right after, "oh, you're here early" came the "are you hauling the papers out?" Are you cooking supper?"....geez..Just drove almost 400 miles..

Anyway, my cousin from Ft. Collins is coming for the afternoon next Sat. and I am doing lunch in a black pot so have something to plan.

Will try to do a write up about the trip in a day or so.

Whatever Day it Is

It is hard to keep track of them when you have been "vacationing" for a couple of months.

There are lots of Black Pot activities going on in Texas. I do hate missing them, but last night I cooked a new chicken dish in one and everyone here just raved. That was nice. I have my son interested in cooking in them and he is going to do something good in one today. At least, that is what he said last night.

I caught up on the Lone Star Dutch Oven Society newsletter and found that membership has increased with new chapters popping up in Texas and out of state also. Maybe I will get energized to try and start one in Nebraska....well...just maybe..smile
