I am DAMN mad

The Baby Truck still not fixed. First place did a major tune up for $263. and I thought that might do the job. No such luck..happened again, took it to another place, they will NOT put in the part I want them to because it doesn't show that it is bad RIGHT now but they want to do $316 worth of "other" work. Well, no thanks!.

Well, Just Darn

  • Made it down to the coast and Baby Truck started acting up again. After I was towed to San Antonio last Sunday and had big bucks spent on a tune up I was told was the problem. Just makes me so mad. They found nothing to explain the problem but put a major tune up on it. What crooked jerks!

Not Too Bad

When the little one is here with me alone, she is pretty good. I do believe I will drop her off at day care for a few hours tomorrow, though. When her sister and Dad are around, then I am the wicked witch from the north again.
Chilly here in SA today but supposedly back to warmer temps (in the 70's) tomorrow.

Coming to an End

Even with the truck problem this week has been sooo good for me. Just being up on this hill, seeing sunsets and sunrises, the Axis and Whitetail deer coming through, hearing the wind in the trees, cooking something wonderful just for me.....so satisfying right now.
I did find out my duaghter's trip was postponed until Monday, so will be baby sitting the "wild child" for 3 to 4 days upon my return to SA.
My friends will be back from Costa Rica sometime on Sat. I hope it has been a wonderful trip for them!

Another Day

for shorts...wahoo

Found the right garage this morning and got the Baby Truck fixed. The thermostat had busted..thank goodness in the open position so it did not run hot. Told the mechanic that I thought it was the thermostat and glad I was correct.

Now will doing some poking around tomorrow. Came back home after a quick lunch in town. Lots of places still closed for the New Year's holiday.

Sunday was

another lazy day. Was able to put on shorts and sit outside soaking up vitamin D while reading. Ended up with a short walk in the woods (mostly cedar). Did not realize just how rocky it is out there. Kept semi-rolling off rocks and decided if I broke an ankel or even sprained it seriously it might be rough to get back to the house so made it short. Lots of deer sign though.

Did make the New Years calls. Called Mom and all was OK there. I did tell her I had a dream that her "other" daughter showed up..She laughed and said, "keep on dreaming". So, I took that as a no! she was not there.

Hope Springs Eternal

and let 2006 be a super year for ALL.

Had a quiet New Years Eve except the part where I was yelling at the officials in the Spurs game. The Spurs won but it was certainly not a given throughout the whole game.

Today will walk in the woods for a while without the animals. On Monday will finally go into town and see about getting some work done on the Baby Truck. So far, this recharging of my batteries is a good thing!
