Monday the 20th

Still in SA but due to leave for the Hill Country Thursday. I am excited about being up there for a solid week. No internet and no cell phone coverage. Will I go crazy? or just rejuvinate? I vote for recharging the ol' batteries!
Having a couple of days with my daughter. She took today and tomorrow off. We just bummed today and had lunch at the Blue Moon. Yummy.
Tomorrow checking out a state park for the possible family reunion in 2007. Then packing up for my trip on Weds.

Tues. the 14th

I am back in San Antonio for another 10 days. Had a great weekend but let not hearing any more from the ex get to me. Working on getting rid of that feeling.
I think this will be a quiet week, will do some swimming and some cooking. Just take it easy.
I am getting nervous about the Spurs game tonight. I think it will be a nail bitter for sure.

At The Coast

Made the trip down yesterday. Feels good to be here for a couple of days. Had a surprise as the ex s.o. called (the man who hates telephones) to tell me how busy things were and wondering if I had made it down (no) and to let him know if I did. Made a stop on my way to Rockport and decided I wasn't quite as immovable as I thought. Probably was not the smartest thing to do, but hey, in affairs of the heart, how often do we let the head rule!
Had lunch with a friend in Corpus on my way to Rockport. We had a good visit for a couple of hours.
I'm stay with an old friend who drove in from Baton Rouge last night. Her hubby is in Florida right now so we can catch up and do whatever this weekend.
Have a few errands to run so will try to do that today.
My granddaughter did not come. Sort of a long story but will have an adult good time anyway.

A Tuesday in June

I am still in San Antonio but having a little break from babysitting. My granddaughter elected to go to Vacation Bible School this week which put off the coast plans by a day or so but I am staying flexible!! Doing a few fun things by myself plus some errands so all is "myghty fyne".
Met my friends last Thursday evening at the Cushman meet and was warned that my ex S.O. was there. I was glad for the warning. Did see him and we spoke for a few minutes. Man, cannot believe how protective of my heart and feelings I am. Guess that is emotional preservation. Anyway, had a nice time seeing most all the other goup.
I will be back in the Hill Country to house sit at the end of the month and really am looking forward to that, but not the return to Nebraska. Will have to buck up to do that. I may get to see my Dallas friend on the way back if she is back in town from the holiday weekend (4th of July). She has a new fellow so not sure what her schedule will be right now. Need to get going before it gets to hot outside.
